Six short guides, from first login to your first promo video. No training sessions required — that's the point.

1. Getting started in an afternoon

  1. 1 Create your practice at smyly.ai/signin — name, your patient link (smyly.ai/p/your-practice), and your brand color, which we can pull from your website automatically.
  2. 2 Add your logo in Settings. It flows into your patient page, every flyer, your QR codes, videos and email signatures from that moment on.
  3. 3 Start your trial with a card on file. Your patient page switches on immediately, and nothing is charged until the trial ends.
  4. 4 Print the waiting-room poster from your dashboard and put it where patients sit. That single act is most of what makes the product work.

2. Running the first preview with a patient

  1. 1 Have the patient scan the QR poster with their own phone camera — the whole flow runs on their device, never on practice hardware.
  2. 2 They pick a treatment, take a selfie following the on-screen framing guide, and get their preview in about a minute.
  3. 3 If they want to show you, they tap “show my dentist” and read you a 6-character code. Enter it at smyly.ai/code to see the preview chairside for up to an hour.
  4. 4 If they want you to follow up, they opt in with their contact details, and the enquiry appears in your dashboard and your email.

3. Setting up the Marketing Hub

  1. 1 Open Marketing Hub from your dashboard and go to Profiles & Links. Paste your Google review link, Yelp page, scheduling link and social profiles once.
  2. 2 Each tile on the hub unlocks as its link is added: Google review flyers and counter cards, Yelp find-us assets, follow-us flyers and post images.
  3. 3 Everything renders as a live preview in your brand before you print or download. What you see is exactly what prints.
  4. 4 For production runs, use the Print Shop: press-ready files with bleed and crop marks that any commercial printer accepts at 100% scale.

4. Making your first promo video

  1. 1 Open Video Studio in the Marketing Hub and pick any service you offer — all common dental treatments are in the list, not just the previewable ones.
  2. 2 Choose a format: square for feeds, vertical for Reels and TikTok, wide for YouTube and your website.
  3. 3 Edit any slide's text in the filmstrip; the live preview shows exactly what the video will contain, including your end card with phone, website and QR code.
  4. 4 Click Generate and download a real MP4, rendered in your browser. Videos are silent by design — social feeds autoplay muted.

5. Rolling out email signatures to the team

  1. 1 Open Email Signature in the Marketing Hub. Your logo, office phone, website, social links and scheduling button are already wired from your profile.
  2. 2 Each team member types their name, role, email and direct line, and picks the legal footer — the recommended option includes the do-not-email-health-information notice.
  3. 3 Click “Copy signature” and paste into Gmail (Settings → Signature) or Outlook (Settings → Compose → Signatures). It pastes fully rendered.
  4. 4 The logo is hosted by Smyly at a permanent link while your subscription is active, so signatures never carry attachments.

6. Reading your dashboard numbers

  1. 1 Previews (30 days) tells you whether your QR placement is working. If it's flat, move the poster to seated eye level — placement is most of the result.
  2. 2 Enquiries are people who explicitly asked you to contact them. Call while it's fresh: the list shows how long each one has waited.
  3. 3 Top treatment tells you what your patients are curious about — useful for choosing your next Video Studio piece or social post.
  4. 4 Smyly deliberately holds no patient photos or clinical records for you, so there is nothing to audit and nothing to secure on our side. Photos patients upload are deleted within 24 hours.
